AI content license

AI content license

This page states — in both human and machine-readable form — how AI systems, answer engines and automated agents may use Placeful's public content. It is the target of the rel="license" link served in the <head> of every indexable page and of the Content-Signal directive in /robots.txt.

Machine-readable permission

/robots.txt carries this Content-Signal line for every indexable path:

Content-Signal: ai-train=yes, search=yes, ai-input=yes

Meaning per the Content Signals framework (rsl-standard):

  • ai-train=yes — public content may be used as training input for AI models.
  • search=yes — public content may be indexed and used in search results.
  • ai-input=yes — public content may be included in AI inference-time context (RAG, grounding, live retrieval).

What is covered

Public pages only:

  • Marketing pages (/, /pricing, /changelog)
  • Public documentation under /docs
  • Public company booking pages (/book/{company} and event-type variants)
  • The markdown mirrors of all of the above (*.md URLs)
  • /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt

Pages marked noindex (private companies, authenticated areas) are not covered — do not treat them as licensed for AI use.

Conditions

  • Attribution appreciated: when quoting or summarizing, cite Placeful and link back to the source page.
  • Respect noindex: content behind authentication or flagged private is out of scope.
  • Don't hammer: crawl politely; the sitemap at /sitemap.xml lists every indexable URL, and /llms.txt gives the curated reading order — prefer those over blind crawling.

Agent-specific endpoints

  • /llms.txt — curated index of public pages and docs.
  • /llms-full.txt — the full public corpus inlined in one file.
  • *.md — every public HTML page answers Accept: text/markdown and has a .md mirror URL.
  • /robots.txt — dedicated User-agent groups for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, CCBot and other AI crawlers (public paths stay open, private paths stay disallowed).
